HOW?

Why is it that FedEx has specialized home delivery, yet UPS doesn't.

If I am expecting a package at my home from FedEx, it is normally a small van that says FedEx Home on the side and the package normally arrives before noon time.

If I am expecting a package to be delivered to my house by UPS, it'll arrive sometime. Before 7pm in all likelyhood, but not necessarily. 99.9% of the time it'll arrive 4 minutes after I leave to go to work (I work second shift).

If I try to outsmart the UPS delivery person (which SHOULD be easy, I would think)... well, it doesn't work out for me. I check the UPS tracking website, and it will inform me that my precious cargo was loaded at 6:36 am on the truck for delivery at the Lenexa UPS hub. I've tried waiting for an extra ten minutes before leaving for work, and then driving a little faster to work when I've decided I can't wait any longer. I've tried waiting an extra THRITY minutes, and then leaving after deciding I can't be more than 15 minutes late for work.

No matter how much extra time I wait... the freakin UPS (ESP) person always gets to my house 4 minutes after I pull out of my driveway. I know, because when I get to work I log on to the tracking page and check the delivery time. FREAKIN UNBELIEVABLE! EVERYTIME!

Except today. Today I planned to wait an extra twenty minutes, then drive around the block, taking about 4 minutes to make the loop... and CATCH the UPS person making the delivery!

Didn't work. The UPS delivery person knows all. Knew what I was planning, and had counter-planned accordingly.

When I got to work, I checked the delivery time. An HOUR later.

How does he/she/it know??

HOW?
